SUPPORT GROUPS

From its inception the Hearing Association (Auckland) Inc facilitated hearing loss support groups reflecting its role as a self-help organisation. Run by volunteers in various locations in suburban and country locations, groups of hearing impaired people met regularly in a friendly relaxed atmosphere to help each other in coping with hearing loss. Sessions included a range of activities, discussion topics and information sharing. Family members were welcome to attend. It is our intention to re-establish these groups.
Hearing Association (Auckland) Inc is currently developing two new monthly groups which will meet in Remuera.
